Managing the Royal Docks Waterways

As the authority responsible for the Royal Docks’ water areas and marine infrastructure, Royal Docks Waterways oversees everything from locks, bridges and dock walls to vessel access and navigation.

Licensing & Regulation

We issue short and long-term water licences and enforce bylaws governing safety, public behaviour and marine activity, enabling a diverse range of operations across the docks, including cargo handling, engineering works, and visits by naval, merchant and offshore vessels.
